Artist info + Introductory Silkscreen Art Print offer

After 15 years of being a printmaker - I’ve gained a vast knowledge of the silkscreen print process. The themes in my work are of an abstract nature that are heavily inspired by the worlds of architecture, sound and music. I've been very much focussed on unearthing the magic that can be achieved with this print process in order to help bring my ideas to life in the form of visually striking print editions which have individual nuance and unique character.

These works emerge from my studio in Leeds - West Yorkshire, which houses a custom built print press i engineered to help me make these productions. After producing somewhere in the region of 80 releases to date  - I feel it's now time to start opening up my work to a wider audience.

I'm running a promotional offer this month on the following print titles you can see below. I've selected three abstract sound inspired productions from my archive that will work together beautifully when framed as a group. I'm offering this print selection to new customers for £100 as part of my awareness drive. This offer presents a significant saving on the list price of these prints when purchasing individually. This is a great opportunity start a collection of high grade silkscreen art which is a perfect fit for modern living and work spaces.

All prints are supplied in strong cardboard mailer to ensure safe transit. I will dispatch via Royal Mail Insured / Signed for service.

I have included on this page  a selection of photographs to try and give new visitors to my a feel of how these prints came to life as these are no standard print production. If making a purchase and you require framing advice feel free to drop me a line. I'd be more than happy to advise you.

These are a series of acetate films that were produced in order to make the screens that allow the individual ink layers to be printed.

Below is one of the three screens was used for printing the 'Flow 23' release. A photo-sensitive emulsion is used to make the printable stencil on the screen which allow the ink to be push through with a squeegee which makees the impression on the paper.

Below are two of the rough component layer proofs were i used to judge the opacity levels of the acrylic and metal compound ink mixes that went into each print release. This proofing process ensures there was uniformity of ink density in the final print productions.

Below - Used screen from the Reso-Tone priint proofing process.

Metal compound ink being mixed which was used for the underprint in each graphic composition. The high definition cream hightight layer was then overprinted on top of this to create a shimmer effect when the prints are seen under direct lighting conditions.

Prototype printing press that i designed and built to help me make the prints with greater ease. This press has been developed quite a bit since this photograph was taken. The one arm bandit style mechanism has been a real saviour on my elblow joints!
