ARC 454 COLOUR£70.00
A waveform abstract i created using a solid charcoal acrylic flood with several overprinted layers of metal compound inks and traditional acrylic inks which make up the offset linear abstract image.
Due to the inclusion of the metallic pigments in this composition certain areas of the print have a reflective quality which looks stunning under direct lighting conditions.
I have added a few production shots of this piece here as well to try and illustrate the hand produced nature of these pieces. The photograph below featured a selction of film positives i used to create the individual screens that were utilised in this print release.
The ultra fine layers of hand applied inks were juxtaposed ever so slightly to allow the layers underneath to cut in on the finished prints.
The prints measure 640mm x 450mm. There are produced on a 300gsm recycled kraft stock from a British Paper Mill.
Each silkscreen print is stamped and signed in pencil and come with a wax seal artist card.
The metal compound gold ink i utilised in this print was used in a stronger formulation in the foreground layers.
One of the early base layers of this abstract being applied to charcoal flooded background on the printing press whilst testing out the opacity levels of the inks to ensure once dried that they had the desired level of subtlety in order for the sharper foreground layers to really resonate.......
Supplied with wax seal artist provenance card. These prints are supplied unframed in a strong cardboard mailer tube to ensure safe transit.
